Margaritas Hosts 25th Anniversary Contest Asking Guests to Share Memories

Grand Prize Winn­­er Gets Trip for Two to the Mayan Ruins in Mexico

February 13, 2012 // Franchising.com // Portsmouth, NH – To celebrate their 25th Anniversary as New England’s best south-of-the-border restaurant chain, Margaritas Mexican Restaurants wants to reward customers for sharing their best “Margaritas Memories”. To embody the authentic culture of the restaurants, Margaritas will send the Grand Prize winner on a trip for two to explore the ancient Mayan ruins.

Starting today through Mar. 28, 2012, fans are encouraged to “like” Margaritas on Facebook at www.facebook.com/margsmexican. Entry for the contest is simple and involves two options. Customers can either upload a two-minute video to YouTube and share the link on Margaritas Facebook page or upload and share a photo with a 25-word caption. Once complete, applicants can urge friends and family to help their entry earn the most votes.

“Our 25th anniversary is not only special to us, but also to our devoted guests and team members who’ve been such a big part of our success throughout the years,” said John Pelletier, founder of Margaritas. “We believe this contest is a fun and engaging way to interact with those customers across the Northeast and thank them for sharing their time and memories with us over the years.”

The winning entry will have the most votes by Noon EST on Wednesday, Mar. 28 – the Grand Prize being a trip for two to the beautiful, ancient Mayan ruins in Mexico. The entry with the second most ­­­­­­­­votes will win a genuine Margaritas tile table with matching carved chairs and the third prize is a $250 Margaritas gift card. On top of that, any entry with at least 25 votes by the end of the contest will be entered into a raffle for another $250 Margaritas gift card.
