A “Smart Meal Deal” is created by choosing any item on the menu (at an a la carte price), then adding one of five fresh sides, like baked UnFries™, Steamed Broccoli, Black Beans, Whole Grain Brown Rice or Sweet Potato Mash, along with a choice of bottled water or fountain beverage – all for just $2.49 added to the a la carte price.

Recently, the White House and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs announced changes to the menus of 1,100 dining halls at military bases last month. The move will adjust the Pentagon’s nutritional standards for the first time in 20 years, bringing more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and better food choices to American military in the coming months.
