March 16, 2012 // Franchising.com // Corona, California – National Mom-and-Pop Business Owner Day, coming up on March 29, 2012, is a day to recognize and support the local Mom-and-Pop businesses in our community. To show his support, Relie Bacho, owner of the PostalAnnex+ at 540 Hidden Valley Pkwy, Ste 106 is offering 100 free copies to Mom-and-Pop business owners.
“We believe that the local Mom-and-Pop businesses in Corona are an important part of our community,” said Michael Bacho, Relie’s nephew and manager of the store. Mom-and-Pop businesses often offer personalized assistance and a variety of specialized products and services. Their businesses help keep people in their community employed and support the local economy.
Mom-and-Pop business owners often work long hours and make personal sacrifices for their businesses. New businesses are an important, often not fully appreciated, part of the U.S. economy. National Mom-and-Pop Business Owners Day gives the community a chance to celebrate and support local small business owners. In the spirit of the day, Michael wants to highlight three of his regular customers who understand just how much small businesses need the community’s support.
Morgan, the manager of the Great Clips located in the same shopping center as the Bachos’ PostalAnnex+, has been working hard the past 7 years to make the business successful. “Times are still tough,” said Morgan, “But we’ve got some regulars, and I think we’re going to make it.” Great Clips provides haircuts to men, women and children. The Great Clips Hidden Valley location is open seven days a week from 9 am to 6 pm; walk-ins are welcome.
Judy, the manager of Kut N Beauty, located at 530 Hidden Valley Pkwy, is feeling the tough times too, but she’s being optimistic. “Our customers are great, and we work hard to keep them loyal,” said Judy. “Having the support of our community is what’s going to get the small businesses in Corona through the tough times.” Kut N Beauty offers a variety of products for hair, skin and nails and has in store services from cosmetologists and estheticians. The Kut N Beauty Hidden Valley location is open Monday through Friday 9 am – 8 pm; Saturday, 9 am – 6 pm; and Sunday 10 am – 6 pm.
Justin Reed, owner of The Hot Dog Shoppe located at 510 Hidden Valley Parkway, agrees that times have been tough, but he’s doing his part to help cheer up the neighborhood. “Hot dogs are great comfort food,” said Reed. “And with the economy still struggling, our community needs some comfort. I’m happy they keep choosing us!” Reed’s Hot Dog Shoppe offers a variety of hot dogs from basic hot dogs to gourmet hot dogs and specialty sausages. Their menu even features hot dogs customers have created.
“We enjoy the relationships we have with the Mom-and-Pop business owners in our community,” said Michael Bacho. “Supporting these businesses is important to us, and we want to invite members of our community to do the same.”
