Family Dining Concept Looks to Bring Food, Fun and Fifties to New Jersey

MAYNARD, Mass., March 28, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Armed with a fresh prototype, revamped menu and new leadership, 5 & Diner, the authentic '50s-style diner restaurant franchise, is looking to build at least 30 new restaurants throughout New Jersey over the next five years, capitalizing on the state's affinity for the classic American diner.

5 & Diner company executives are actively seeking franchisees for the following areas: Philadelphia Tri-State Area for 5-10 new locations; Trenton/Princeton/Brunswick for 3-5 new locations; Edison/New Brunswick/Piscataway/Somerville for 3-5 new locations; Northern New Jersey for 5-10 new locations; Toms River for 1-2 new locations and Freehold for 1-2 new locations.

This year, the diner franchise launched a new prototype designed to lower development costs and introduce a non-freestanding development option. Typical development costs range from $450,000-$750,000 and the average unit sales volume is more than $1.1 million. Expansion of the diner business throughout the state will also boost the local economy – as each restaurant employs between 25 and 30 people.
