Liberty Tax Salutes Veterans with Business Incentives

July 03, 2012 // Franchising.com // Virginia Beach, VA - Liberty Tax is saluting military veterans this Independence Day and throughout the year by offering hands-on opportunities to explore the company’s business and employment opportunities. Through the company’s membership in the IFA and its VetFran and MinorityFran programs, Liberty Tax offers an incentive to finance a second territory if the franchisee is in compliance. In addition, Liberty Tax is currently offering a “Zero Down” franchise fee program.

As a member of the International Franchise Association’s VetFran initiative, the company is actively involved in promoting the newly released toolkit, and other company incentives. Liberty can offer. According to the IFA, “The Veterans Franchise (VetFran) Toolkit is designed to foster access to franchise employment and ownership opportunities for U.S. veterans and military spouses and includes a Franchising 101 online course, a skills and attributes assessment, and a finance assessment.”

“Veterans are used to following a proven system, and have been instrumental in building our franchise operations to over 4000 offices. Franchising can be a natural fit and the next career move for veterans exiting the military, and we strive to recruit more interested in the tax industry,” said Liberty Tax Service CEO and Founder John Hewitt.

For a second straight year, Liberty Tax Service is ranked one of G.I. Jobs’ “military friendly franchises” in the June 2012 issue.. According to G.I. Jobs and its survey results, the list represents “the top 10 percent of the nation’s franchises that are doing the most to recruit military veterans.” The methodology for evaluation was based 40% for a franchises’ success in recruiting military and veterans, 30% for the franchise’s participation in veteran recruiting programs such as VetFran, and 30% for financial commitment to recruiting vets and helpful incentives.

Liberty Tax was recently selected one of the 50 Top Franchises for Veterans by World Franchising Network from among over 400 participants in its survey. The list was published in the June 15, 2012 issue of USA Today – Franchising Today. Liberty is an active participant in World Franchising Network’s Franchising4Vets program.
