Doug Schust Appointed President of WSI

July 24, 2012 // Franchising.com // Mississauga, Ont. - Doug Schust will take over as president of the WSI group of companies Sept. 1. Schust has been the highest revenue producing WSI Internet Consultant (IC) for years. He has also been an area representative, Internet Consultant Advisory Council (ICAC) member, a supplier, chair of the marketing committee and president of the Smart Betty sales associate program.

“We wish our current president, Ron McArthur, the best in his future endeavors. He will be missed, and we appreciate his work and the contributions he made to the company,” said Louis Zalany, CEO of the WSI group of companies. “Doug has learned and understands all aspects of franchising, particularly the WSI system. His experience with clients, both large and small, as well as his extensive interaction with the IC and supplier community, gives him an intimate understanding of both the challenge and, most importantly, the tremendous opportunity that exists in the marketplace for WSI franchisees and suppliers.”

Schust was previously a partner in a marketing firm, and his company was one of the nation’s most technically advanced marketing firms in the early 90s. Schust’s existing business will continue to be operated by his partners, Baltej Gill and his wife, Linda, and his three sons.
