Massachusetts Senior Care Company Passes 2012 Annual License Inspection with Zero Defects

For the third consecutive year, Home Care Assistance of Massachusetts meets all labor requirements, and then some.

Wellesley, MA (PRWEB) August 06, 2012 - This week, Home Care Assistance of Massachusetts passed its 2012 annual license inspection by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards with zero defects. This is the third consecutive year that the office has met all labor requirements, a notable feat, considering that not every home health care agency in Massachusetts passes its annual DLS inspection with zero defects. However, it is not so impressive in that this inspection merely verifies that the staff keeps track of client agreements and employee agreements, abides by minimum wage and overtime regulations, and publishes the required labor postings. While it is true that not every agency abides by all of these requirements, any and all law-abiding home health agencies have to meet these requirements.

“We deliver a higher quality of service that demands more than simply abiding by minimum wage and overtime regulations,” said Larry Levine, owner of Home Care Assistance of Massachusetts. “All of our caregivers go through extensive qualification verifications, background and work history checks and are insured far above the minimum required by the state.”

Home Care Assistance of Massachusetts goes above and beyond state and federal requirements. With offices throughout the greater Boston area, the in-home care leader provides quality assistance for seniors throughout Massachusetts. It is one of the first home health agencies to meet the requirements of the Home Care Alliance of Massachusetts Accreditation Standard. The Alliance’s Accreditation Standard, in addition to requiring accredited members to attest to their adherence to Massachusetts and Federal law, requires agencies to meet a higher level of quality standard in the care it delivers to its clients. The standard includes requirements for client privacy, the creation and adherence to client care plans, abuse and neglect detection, reporting requirements, supervision visits, minimum caregiver training and experience requirements, caregiver licensure verification, expanded criminal background check requirements and increased minimum insurance requirements. Agencies that meet or exceed the Home Care Alliance’s Accreditation Standard requirements deliver a higher level of service than is required by the State of Massachusetts.

When looking for in-home care for a family member or friend, look beyond the minimum state requirements and consider the quality of care provided. For more information about Home Care Assistance of Massachusetts, visit or call 781-239-0060 to speak directly with a care manager.
