Mesa, AZ (PRWEB) August 24, 2012 - Smashburger, the nation’s fastest growing “better burger” restaurant and Phoenix’s Best Burger, as voted by the readers of Phoenix New Times and Arizona Foothills Magazine, is set to open its newest Valley location on Wednesday, September 5 at 2837 N Power Road at the Village at Las Sendas in Mesa. This is the tenth of thirty Phoenix-area Smashburgers that local franchisee SunWest Burgers, Smashburger’s two-time Franchisee of the Year, is slated to open over the next five years. The other nine Phoenix-area restaurants are located in Avondale, Glendale, Peoria, Phoenix and Tempe.
At Smashburger the secret is in the smash. They start with 100-percent—fresh, never frozen, Certified Angus Beef and smash it on a 400 degree flat grill to sear in the juicy flavor. To further the “better burger” experience, every Smashburger is served on a butter toasted artisan bun and topped with a selection of real cheeses, the freshest produce, and top-quality condiments.
“In every Smashburger market, we explore the tastes and flavors of the region and bring it to our menu in an innovative way,” said Tom Ryan, Founder and Chief Concept Officer of Smashburger. “Mesa residents will enjoy the unique burger, chicken sandwiches and salads we’ve created just for the Phoenix menu.”
Each Phoenix-area Smashburger will feature a regional menu created with regional flavors and tastes in mind. The Phoenix menu includes the signature Arizona Smashburger, which is a 100-percent Certified Angus Beef burger, topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, onion, chipotle mayo and fresh jalapenos on a chipotle bun. Phoenicians can also enjoy the Arizona Devil Dog topped with habanero cheese, guacamole, fresh jalapenos, spicy chipotle sauce and tomatoes on a lightly toasted poppy seed bun as well as the Arizona Cobb Salad featuring diced chicken breast, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, red onions, crisp romaine and iceberg lettuce, with spicy chipotle sauce and topped with guacamole and fresh jalapenos.
Smashburger’s signature recipes and create your own burgers are smashed fresh, served delicious every time. But Smashburger is more than just burgers. The restaurant also serves up delicious chicken sandwiches, grilled and seared hotdogs, and delicious salads, with an array of sides like veggie frites and rosemary and garlic–seasoned Smashfries. Guests can pair their meals with beer, wine, handspun Häagen-Dazs shakes, and root-beer floats.
“We brought the first Smashburger to the Valley in late 2009 and now, three years later, we’re opening our tenth location,” says Kurt Riske, Brand Manager for SunWest Burgers. “We are beyond thrilled with the response we’ve received from burger lovers at our nine other locations and we’re excited to venture farther east, bringing our better burgers to Mesa.”
