Togo's in Gilbert Hosts Grand Opening Celebration on September 15

West Coast Sandwich Chain Awards 10,000th Customer with Free Sandwiches for One-Year

GILBERT, Ariz., Sept. 7, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Togo's Eateries, Inc., a "West Coast Original" since 1971, announced today the new Gilbert, Ariz. restaurant located at 1520 W. Guadalupe Road in the Shops at Fiesta Ranch will host its official grand opening celebration on Saturday, September 15 from 11am to 7pm. The Town of Gilbert community is invited to enjoy an all-day event with music, prizes, local fundraiser and more.

To further mark Togo's arrival in Arizona, the restaurant has awarded its 10,000th customer with one free 6" regular sandwich each week for one-year. Paul Browne, a Gilbert resident and former Californian, was surprised on August 24 after ordering his favorite sandwich, #9.

"Our new restaurant has experienced strong sales and very positive feedback since we opened earlier this summer," said Togo's franchisee Monty Coury. "Surprising Paul with free sandwiches for one-year was definitely a highlight, especially since he was already such a fan of our brand. We're excited for our upcoming grand opening celebration and encourage residents of the Town of Gilbert to come out for the festivities."

Coury first experienced Togo's menu at a restaurant in California and found the food to be irresistible. His background is in commercial development and he has always wanted to return to his roots in the restaurant and hospitality industries. The Gilbert Togo's is his first restaurant opening and he has two more Togo's in development for Maricopa County. He is originally from Mesa, AZ and currently resides in Chandler, AZ.

At Togo's, there is a steadfast commitment to being "Better than a Breadwich," serving customers meaty sandwiches piled high with the freshest, superior-quality ingredients and proprietary meats. California avocados are mashed daily, abundant quantities of lean pastrami, 97 percent fat free roast beef, 98 percent fat free slow roasted turkey, 100 percent natural chicken, and other premium meats, and Artisan bread set the brand apart from other sandwich shops.

The Gilbert location is now serving guests from 10:00am – 9pm Monday – Friday, 10:30am – 7pm on Saturday and 11am – 5pm on Sunday.
