National Franchisor Pump It Up Earns Parent Tested Parent Approved Seal of Approval for Adventure Parties

Superhero Training Camp™ and Pirate Quest™ Adventure Parties Recognized for Excellence by Independent Group of Parents

October 16, 2012 // Franchising.com // TEMPE, Ariz. – Pump It Up, the national leader in the children’s entertainment category, has been recognized for efforts to stimulate the imaginations of children across the country with the Parent Tested Parent Approved (PTPA) Winner’s Seal of Approval of its newest creation, Adventure Parties.

Both the Superhero Training Camp and Pirate Quest Adventure Parties, which allow children to bring their character-based fantasies to life in conjunction with active play on the giant colorful inflatables at Pump It Up, were awarded the coveted PTPA Seal of Approval. The PTPA, which is made up of more than 40,000 parents and boasts North America’s largest volunteer parent testing community, awards seals based on quality and excellence in customer experience.

“It’s an honor to receive this highly regarded accolade from an organization made up of actual parents,” said Lee Knowlton, CEO of Pump It Up. “We started Adventure Parties as an effort to offer parents a place to bring their kids where they can disconnect from the computer, video games, and television and really use their imagination during play. I’m glad to say, we can now call them the Parent Tested Parent Approved Adventure Parties.”

In order to evoke children’s imaginations, the new Superhero Training Camp and Pirate Quest Adventure Parties are guided by trained professionals who use props and creative scripts. Everyone at the party takes part in the adventure, with the help of a trained Adventure Guide who draws them into the superhero or pirate worlds from the moment they pull into the parking lot. Children learn to act, talk and walk, like superheroes and pirates. They also engage in games like “Dodge the Krypton,” a unique twist on the traditional game of Dodge Ball or an oversized “Cannonball War” played inside multiple giant inflatables using soft stress balls.

The Adventure Parties are available for children’s birthday parties, milestone celebrations or playgroups. Pump It Up will continue to roll-out additional Adventure Parties with new themes, creating a haven for children of all ages and solidifying its position as the undisputed leader in the active children’s party industry.
