Fresh Coat Painters Brings Professional Painting Services to Pensacola, Fla.

Pensacola Florida is the setting for one of the newest Fresh Coat Painters locations. Run by two active duty Marines, Fresh Coat Pensacola is eager to serve their community with a host of quality painting solutions.

Pensacola, FL (PRWEB) February 27, 2013 - Running an effective franchise business takes leadership and focus, and the wherewithal to withstand resistance, even growing from it. Such traits are mirrored in the armed forces, making the newly-launched Fresh Coat Painters of Pensacola a natural fit for owners Jamario Ridley and Larry “Merv” Griffin, both on active duty with the United States Marine Corps.

The structure and organization inherent in the military provides the ideal training in small business management, Griffin noted. “We know how to be leaders, we know how to accomplish things,” Ridley said of their 24 combined years of military service.

Ridley, a staff sergeant, and Griffin, a gunnery sergeant, were initially stationed together in Marietta, GA and served a tour in Iraq in 2005 before their unit was decommissioned in 2008. At that time, the two first broached the idea of small business ownership and the thought took root. In 2012 the two found themselves back on the same base in Pensacola and this time the timing was right. They researched various other franchises before a chance sighting on a veteran’s job board introduced them to the Fresh Coat concept, its business model striking an instant chord.

“The biggest thing that sold us on Fresh Coat was the notion that we could run the business and do what we need to do,” Griffin said. “The system has definitely been proven to work. If you follow the system, everything falls into place.”

“Painting is a high-demand industry, but there are way too many fly-by-night operators,” Fresh Coat President Bernard Brozek said. “Jamario, Larry and most of our other franchise owners have their own stories to share. They know how important it is to focus on client service because that’s what leads to repeat business and referrals. Our business model allows our owners to promote their businesses while the staff does the projects. That way clients get the best skills of all involved.”

Fresh Coat’s training and marketing are formidable, Ridley said, and allowed them to quickly bid and book jobs in Pensacola and the surrounding areas. Most importantly, they rapidly found and hired professional, experienced painters who work as employees and not subcontractors.

Ridley and Griffin posted an online advertisement and received a multitude of interview requests. With those now completed, they have hired two experienced painting professionals and already fulfilled several jobs. Thanks to this framework of experienced painters, owners can spend their time growing and promoting their business and don’t need to pick up a paintbrush, Griffin said.

Brozek said Fresh Coat owners can attest to the value of professionalism and courtesy, setting them apart from other painting operators. "Our franchisees realize the importance of focus, discipline and leadership in the success of any operation,” he said. “Our structure puts the focus on the clients, so that they receive the best of all those involved. Owners direct their energy into promoting and growing their businesses while client service managers and professional painters complete the specific projects. Clients get the best skills of all those involved.”

Fresh Coat owners have a range of corporate offerings that support their clients and make the process smoother, including a 24/7 call center, proprietary EPIC estimating system, Paint Now-Pay Later same-as-cash financing, Automatic Touch-Up for businesses, and fund-raising opportunities for charities.

Their research showed that there was no well-established painting company in town, Griffin said, giving them an opportunity to make Fresh Coat the region’s painting company of choice. “Pensacola is a wide open territory. I really feel like there’s a niche, an open opportunity for us.

That’s the first thing we want people to think, is Fresh Coat,” Ridley said. The business partners are now using their marketing tools at area trade shows to spread the word about Fresh Coat. As an additional marketing tool, simply driving around town will help get the word out – both of their trucks are freshly wrapped with the Fresh Coat logo.

“It means a lot really, to do something that you always wanted to do. It was a goal that we had, that always seemed like it was impossible. (Now) it’s kind of that feeling that anything is possible.” Ridley said.
