As Annual Basketball Madness Gets Underway, Famed Sports Bar and Grille Chain Launches Competitions Of Its Own, With a Host Of Prizes and Special Offers for All

March 15, 2013 // Franchising.com // DGEWATER, Md. – The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille announced today that it will mark the annual NCAA college basketball tournament with a bracket challenge featuring a guaranteed Grand Prize of $20,000, and a festive game-day experience for guests.

Guests of the chain’s locations in Maryland, Virginia, Delaware and Washington, D.C., can register to participate in The Greene Turtle’s $20,000 Bracket Challenge by visiting TurtleBracket.com. No purchase is necessary. Once the tournament field is announced on March 17, contestants can fill out brackets on the TurtleBracket.com website, indicating which teams they believe will emerge victorious in each match-up through the championship game. Completed brackets must be submitted by 11:59 a.m. on March 21. Contestants will earn points for each correct selection, with greater weight placed on picks later in the tournament. Contestants will be able to improve their brackets by earning bonus points from watching games at participating Greene Turtle restaurants. They can collect scratch-off cards that reveal codes redeemable at TurtleBracket.com. Bonus points will be offered in values of 1, 3 or 5 points based on the code entered online and are capped at 15 for the contest. Contestants will also receive coupons via email throughout the tournament as an incentive to watch games at participating restaurants. At the conclusion of the tournament, a winner will be named based on total points earned, and a check will be presented during the week of
April 15.
