Apex Couple to Open First Childrens Lighthouse Learning Center in Raleigh

Husband and Wife Team Sign Agreement to Open Raleigh’s Premier Educational Childcare Center

March 19, 2013 - RALEIGH, N.C. – Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers, widely recognized as the leading values-based, early-education childcare provider in the United States, announced today that it has signed a franchise agreement with Apex, North Carolina residents Casey and Jenny Ross, husband and wife, to open the company’s first location in the Raleigh market and the fourth in state. The learning center will be situated in Apex, a Southwest suburb of Raleigh. Projected to open in the next 12 months, site selection process is underway.

The three Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers currently operating in the state are located in the Charlotte-area. In addition to the Ross’ center, the company has plans in place to bring additional schools to the Raleigh market in the coming months.

“There is no denying the demand for educational childcare here in the Raleigh-area and the surrounding suburban neighborhoods. More than ever, parents are putting a high priority on placing their children in an engaging environment where fun and learning come together,” said Casey, who will run the center with Jenny. “I can’t wait for families in our community to experience the Childrens Lighthouse difference.”

Casey and Jenny share a common interest in providing the best early childhood educational experience for their community. Their three sons, now 3 years old, 8 years old and 5 months, will all attend the new educational childcare center. The Ross’ want to offer a trusted childcare center to more of their neighbors, many of whom are families with two working parents that appreciate the need for early education.

The new center will offer classroom and group activity settings, including ample age- appropriate play area both inside and outside the facility, and will provide on-site meal services. Typical Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers include a 10,500 square foot classroom facility and serve families with children from just a few months old to 12 years old. In addition to childcare during traditional school hours, the new Apex center will provide after-school programs and summer camps.

Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers are safe and secure environments that give parents peace of mind, including online video links to rooms, computerized building entry, security monitoring, and transportation to and from area elementary schools.

With experienced educational childcare professionals guiding the company’s operations, Childrens Lighthouse has embedded award-winning curriculums into its programming designed to teach young children reading, math, science and character values. The curriculum also incorporates elements of fun and entertainment to keep kids engaged at all times.

“We truly believe Childrens Lighthouse will serve a very special need in our community. We will be providing parents a place where they can feel confident that their kids are safe and secure,” Jenny noted. “With three young kids of our own, we know just how much this sense of security means.”

Childrens Lighthouse is on a rapid ascent to the top of the educational childcare industry, and franchise investors are taking notice. The wave of momentum carrying Childrens Lighthouse through 2013 includes adding new schools in key U.S. markets that will grow its footprint by nearly 70 percent.

Along with the forthcoming Apex center, 31 new Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers are in development and/or construction, preparing to join the 33 that are already operating. Additional schools are planned for California, Florida, Kansas, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and Texas.

“We are growing into new communities with talented individuals like Casey and Jenny who share our passion for community, nurturing care, and education,” said Mike Brown, CEO of Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers and co-founder of the business with his brother Patrick. “We couldn’t be happier about carrying on the Childrens Lighthouse tradition in North Carolina with a new school in Raleigh and doing so with a team as gifted as Casey and Jenny. With their qualifications, Childrens Lighthouse has a bright future in the region.”
