Scoop Truck Tour Serves up Greek Frozen Yogurt in Tampa Throughout May

TAMPA, Fla. May 6, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - How can you go wrong using the words “free” and “Ben & Jerry’s” in the same sentence? Ben & Jerry’s summer scoop truck program officially rolls into Tampa, Fl for the first time with free Greek Frozen yogurt. The month-long tour will kick-off on Thursday, May 2, so fans hoping to experience festivities firsthand should tweet the truck to let us know who deserves it and where we should send it.

The truck will visit local businesses, non-profits and community gatherings through May 24. Twitter savvy fans can have the Ben & Jerry’s truck come directly their way to serve up scoops of peace, love and a few of the company’s best, fresh and fruity flavor combinations - just in time for an afternoon spring fling!

Super Scoopers/Road Warriors/Truck Coordinators Terrance Kelly and Emmanuel Mosqueda will be the friendly faces operating the truck while in area. “We are thrilled to bring the coolest thing this spring to Tampa,” said Terrance, who has helped dish out smiles via tens of thousands of scoops across the country for Ben & Jerry’s. “We love being able to have these special, one-on-one connections with our fans in Tampa,” Emmanuel added.

The truck will feature some of the finest Greek Frozen Yogurt flavors, including:

  • Liz Lemon: Lemon Greek frozen yogurt with a blueberry lavender swirl
  • Raspberry Fudge Chunk: Raspberry Greek frozen yogurt with fudge chunks
  • Banana Peanut Butter: Banana Greek frozen yogurt with peanut buttery swirls
