Local Entrepreneur fulfills Cincinnati’s Need for Certified Bookkeeping Services with Grand Opening of First Area BookKeeping Express Office

May 16, 2013 // Franchising.com // CINCINNATI, OHIO – BookKeeping Express, the first U.S. franchise focused solely on bookkeeping services, recently announced the opening of its first Ohio office in Loveland serving businesses throughout northeast Cincinnati. BookKeeping Express offers a much-needed service to businesses, so they can get back to doing what they do best.

“We help business owners to achieve three key objectives: lower their taxes, optimize cash flow, and increase their profits,” said Chris Lee, owner of BookKeeping Express in Cincinnati. “I am excited about serving the northeast business community and this opportunity to help small businesses survive and grow. BookKeeping Express has more than 20 years of experience in the industry, and its proven, efficient business model will provide me with the support needed to help grow the business, thus allowing me to help my clients grow theirs.”

Chris Lee spent more than 30 years between PricewaterhouseCoopers and Campbell Soup, working in a variety of domestic and international roles, most recently as Director Financial Planning and Analysis of Campbell Sales Company. In order to stay with Campbell, Chris was given the opportunity to relocate his family to Camden, NJ. After a long, successful career in the corporate world, Lee decided to stay in the Cincinnati area and become even more directly involved with his community. When he discovered BookKeeping Express, he knew it was the best fit for him – giving him the ability to connect with his business neighbors in a way that is fulfilling for both him and his fellow entrepreneurial clients.

BookKeeping Express’ goal is to provide first-class outsourcing of accounting services at affordable rates, allowing the business owners to accomplish their stated objectives. Services include monthly data entry, general ledger, account reconciliation, accounts payable/accounts receivable, monthly financial reports and benchmarking performance against industry standards. Additionally, BookKeeping Express utilizes a predictable flat pricing model that is tailored to the clients’ size and complexity instead of an hourly billing approach.

“So many otherwise sound businesses fail to account for their financial dealings properly, which can hinder their revenues and profitability. They want to move forward, but without knowing how to best utilize their financial data, they often feel frustrated and overwhelmed. That’s where we come in,” added Lee. “I can offer the small business owner access to an entire accounting department for only those few hours per month when they actually need it. The benefits of allowing BookKeeping Express to maintain their books with professional oversight throughout the year are significant from a cost and opportunity standpoint – particularly in the current economic climate. Without this kind of partnership and expertise, I see too many business owners negatively impacted by falling behind on financial records.”

The expansion into Ohio is part of the company’s aggressive national development plans that call for more than 400 new territories throughout the United Sates.

“The business community is growing in Cincinnati and around the country, and BookKeeping Express is expanding simultaneously, providing qualified individuals with a niche franchise option that caters to this segment,” said Greg Jones, CEO of BookKeeping Express. “We are looking to grow with franchise partners such as Chris who are serious about owning a business and sincere about their desire to fill a void in their communities with our distinctive services.”

The new BookKeeping Express office – located on West Loveland Ave in Loveland, OH – offers the BKE Connect system, which allows businesses access to all bookkeeping files remotely through a secure outside server, as well as a dashboard that clearly and visually ‘sums’ up the business’ operations for thorough analysis. Business owners can synchronize their QuickBooks and enjoy convenient, anytime access to their financial documents through BKE EDocs, an electronic filing system designed to provide secure, online storage of financial documents.
