Wiggin and Dana Lawyer Named to Lawyers of Color's Inaugural Hot List

June 10, 2013 // Franchising.com // New Haven - Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce Attorney Fallon DePina Banks was recently selected by Lawyers of Color (LOC) for inclusion in their inaugural Lawyers of Color's Hot List, which recognizes early- to mid-career minority attorneys who stand out in the legal profession.

Fallon is an associate in the firm's Litigation Department and is a member of the Defense, OFAC and Export Compliance Practice Group. Fallon counsels clients on U.S. international trade laws and regulations, including export controls. She has experience conducting internal investigations related to potential export control violations as well as developing, implementing, and auditing implementation of corrective actions to address and prevent export violations.

The honorees were chosen through a two-pronged process. The selection committee spent months researching bar publications in order to identify promising candidates. In addition, they accepted nominations from mentors, peers, and colleagues. Attorneys were selected based on their noteworthy accomplishments and activity in legal initiatives. Fallon was presented with this honor at a formal ceremony on June 5, 2013 at Sullivan & Cromwell's New York office.
