The Territory Managers at Fresh Healthy Vending’s corporate headquarters in San Diego secured the location for her. The Medical Center houses a hospital and a rehab facility along with many other services. “The place is huge and the location has been fantastic. The facility is open 24/7 with access to the machine 24 hours every day. The products are very popular and we have to restock regularly,” she said.

Santucci has 10 machines total, some are in Broward County adjacent to Miami Dade County. Her locations include schools, a casino, an auto headquarters and an outpatient clinic that is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays. But the VA Medical Center machine easily outsells all the others.

“We know the machine provides food for the Veterans there too, it’s a major health center. We’re near a hot coffee machine but our refrigerated, bottled coffee beverages and the Tazo green tea are some of our most popular items,” said Santucci.

She has lived in Florida for over 30 years, most of the time just outside of Fort Lauderdale. Her career for the past 20 years was in state and local health departments, “government work,” she noted. So perhaps the VA Medical Center is a good fit in that regard too.
