Hertz Honors Service Men and Women at The Greenbrier Classic

Hertz to make a Contribution to Paralyzed Veterans of America

PARK RIDGE, N.J. - June 27, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Hertz (NYSE:HTZ), the world's largest general use airport car rental brand, and the Official Car and Equipment Rental Partner of The Greenbrier Classic, will honor our nation's military heroes at this year's PGA TOUR event, July 1-7, 2013. As part of the Hertz for Heroes program, the Company will make a charitable contribution to Paralyzed Veterans of America, a leading advocate for research & education, benefits and civil rights for people with disabilities and their families in order to be productive members of society. Paralyzed Veterans of America is dedicated to empowering the nation's seriously injured heroes with freedom and independence to build brighter futures and positively change lives.

The Hertz for Heroes Greenbrier Classic initiative includes a charitable contribution to Paralyzed Veterans of America: $10 for every birdie, $50 for every eagle and $500 for every hole-in-one recorded during the 2013 Greenbrier Classic by PGA Tour professionals (guaranteeing up to $20,000 through Sunday).

Hertz for Heroes, a project initiated by Hertz employees with military backgrounds, was formerly launched in 2011 when the company donated 40,000 free weekend rentals to vets returning home from overseas. Hertz for Heroes was expanded when the Company joined the White House's Veteran's Hiring Initiative, Joining Forces, led by the First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden. In support of Joining Forces, Hertz launched a military hiring portal, http://hertz.jobs/military that allows veterans and their family members to view and apply for available Hertz jobs across all company divisions. To date, Hertz has hired more than 300 veterans, meeting its commitment to the Joining Forces initiative. Hertz for Heroes has logistical and distribution support from the 8500 member National Defense Transportation Association, (NDTA).

Hertz is committed to offering its customers the most technologically innovative products and services available to keep customers "Traveling at the Speed of Hertz."
