Affordable Care Act Fuels Demand for Nurse Next Door Home Care Services in San Francisco

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) July 01, 2013 - It is estimated that people over the age of 65 will make up nearly a quarter of San Francisco’s population by 2030, twice the senior population’s size today. A study of over 5 million hospital patients found that nearly 18 percent of seniors who are hospitalized are readmitted within 30 days of discharge. Only 6 percent of clients of Nurse Next Door who were discharged from the hospital were readmitted within 30 days.
