Cruise Planners-American Express Travel CEO Michelle Fee Inducted Into CLIA Hall of Fame at Cruise3Sixty

July 02, 2013 // Franchising.com // CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Cruise Planners- American Express Travel CEO and Co-founder Michelle Fee was honored at CLIA’s recent Cruise3sixtry event by being inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame with the Travel Advisor Award on Friday, June 21 at a gala in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Introduced by Cruise Planners COO Vicky Garcia and Royal Caribbean International’s SVP, Sales, Trade Support and Services, Vicki Freed, Fee accepted the award stating her success has been as a result of her passion for business, love for travel and the dedication of the Cruise Planners team.

“Being inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame is a testament to how far passion, dedication and hard work can take you,” said Fee. “I’m sharing this induction and recognition with the executive team [which includes CFO Tom Kruszewski and Vice President of Technology, Brian Shultz] as well as the Cruise Planners Home Office team and all of our home-based agents. I want to thank all of them for understanding the vision that I had for Cruise Planners and helping me turn it into what it is today. When we had our first training class with just five people nearly 20 years ago, I never dreamed we would be where we are today with the strongest and best team in the business and more than 900 agents.”

Fee co-founded Cruise Planners in 1994 and under her leadership; the company Cruise Planners has become the nation’s largest home-based travel agent franchise networks in the cruise industry. In addition to being inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame, Fee has won numerous awards over the years for her work including being named one of the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds” in sales and marketing by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association, “Top 25 Most Influential Business Women” by the South Florida Business Journal and Travel Agent magazine’s most “Power Women in Travel”, to name a few.
