From Fast Track New York City to Healthy Vending In The Local Library

Connecticut Fresh Healthy Vending Franchisee shifts focus to a healthier vocation.

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) July 07, 2013 - Craig Goos has spent 20 years in the Financial Services sector in New York City. He wanted to make some life changes. Fresh Healthy Vending is a good fit for this brand new franchisee.

His family includes three kids, ages 13, 11 and 6 who are influential in the family’s decision-making processes. “The balance between our family, lifestyle and the healthy living choices we make match up with the core values of Fresh Healthy Vending,” said Goos. “It allows me to instill in my kids, just where my values are.”

“The business has been a turnkey solution, up and running very quickly. The infrastructure and support is the strongest compared to the other companies we looked at,” Goos mentioned. “Fresh was not just selling us a machine, but helping us to build a business and develop a concept around the Fresh Healthy Vending idea.”

“I’m excited!” Goos marveled, “The change is coming. Between Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! Initiative, to the Mayor of New York waging a battle over labeling, to the new guidelines for schools. The food choice options are happening and the business opportunity is here to go along with it.”

“The processes that Fresh Healthy Vending puts into play to secure the locations are very collaborative. I have confidence in our team at Fresh to find locations that will become great partnerships for us in this business,” he said.

“I signed up just 45 days ago,” Goos stated, “I have 5 locations and the pipeline is full with meetings in place to have all of our 23 machines placed quickly. We’re looking at YMCAs and Community Centers. We have signed on to put 3 machines in large public libraries in a community in Connecticut. They were engaged from the start. The Board of Directors met and changed the bylaws to allow food and drink in the library for the first time ever, in support of having the machines on site.”

“I went through the manuals about the company and the machines. There were numerous phone calls. But when I came to San Diego and was able to see and touch the machines, I was convinced. This was where I wanted to be. They’re different from other offerings in the marketplace. Technical aspects and support for the machines, both for set up and operation, are part of the training. It made me excited to deliver the message back to the local community,” said Goos.

Fresh Healthy Vending has helped to procure a site for a number of machines at the Norwalk Connecticut Public Library System. Sherelle Harris, the Assistant Director at the library shared these comments: “Our director, Christine Bradley, was immediately receptive to the values of the Fresh Healthy Vending concept, and so were our Board of Directors. When we presented the idea to staff, they were excited about being able to get their morning cups of joe and healthier snack choices from the same machine! If the staff were excited, we knew we would have a hit with our patrons. The team from Fresh Healthy Vending is enthusiastic and most helpful. We are almost there! We are looking forward to having the machines in both of our buildings as an added and healthy service to our public.”

Goos noted, “Everything we’re doing is about change, the product delivery is significantly different. The technical aspect of having the machines connected to the internet provides the ability to deliver superior products through a superior experience. We can be responsive to people through the technology offered by these machines.”

“Our expectations for growth are wide open. We see the reception to the machines in the community as an opportunity because of the updated machines and the unique product offerings. We’re fairly open minded to the future and plan to deliver as much as we can to the community,” said Goos.

Fresh Healthy Vending provides opportunities that can be described as “a cause beyond financial benefit,” part of a socially-responsible lifestyle choice that helps others; franchisees are an integral part of the business. Machines are stocked with all-natural, organic and preservative-free snacks and beverages — all nutrient-rich selections — the 6000 choices available include gluten and nut-free products.

Keeping minds and bodies in better shape are part of the directives for Fresh Healthy Vending, the first franchiser of healthy vending machines. The company leads with first-to-market in products and equipment and uses the latest vending technologies while offering the most comprehensive franchisee support structure.
