Smoothie Franchise Celebrates 40 Years with New Logo and Appoints QSR and Ad Agency Veteran David Moore as Vice President, Marketing

NEW ORLEANS - July 31, 2013 // PRNewswire // - Smoothie King Franchises, Inc., premier smoothie bar and nutritional lifestyle center, revealed today the company's first new logo in nearly two decades. The fresh and sleek marquee serves as a symbol of the company's aggressive growth strategy led by owner Wan Kim. Coupled with the logo announcement is the naming of David Moore as Vice President, Marketing. The QSR and Ad industry veteran will play a critical role in the company's brand strategy and future product development.

Smoothie King's new brand identity coincides with the celebration of forty years as the nation's premier smoothie franchise and its global expansion plans that includes 2000 Smoothie King stores by 2017. The revamped logo, created by retail design experts WD Partners, is a nod to Smoothie King's historic roots while offering a clean, modern approach to health, fitness and community.

Wan Kim purchased Smoothie King in July 2012 and has embarked on a series of evolutions to expand the organization worldwide. In addition to a fresh new look, the company has made critical executive hires including the most recent hire of QSR and ad industry veteran of David Moore, as Vice President of Marketing.
