LANSING, Mich. - Aug. 7, 2013 // PRNewswire // - With stellar growth numbers for the past 43 consecutive months, Two Men And A Truck®, one of the industry's leading moving service franchises, is on track for another year of strong system-wide sales and growth percentage aiming to build off of their 24 months of double digit growth.
To date, the leading moving franchise brand has achieved company revenues of $144 million and year-over-year growth of 19 percent through June, with six months left in the calendar year. Compared to $260 million in earnings in 2012, the company is on track to reach and possibly exceed revenue and earnings figures from last year considering the company's busiest moving months historically track in the summer, which is less than half over.
"Our revenue and earnings figures are very encouraging so far this year," said Randy Shacka, President of Two Men And A Truck®. "As we continue with our objective of achieving the highest level of customer service paired with strategic growth into new markets, we look forward to serving our customers, every day earning our spot as the mover who cares about delivering quality moving experiences."
Shacka said the brand is aiming to sell a projected 25 units by the end of the year. They have 20 units currently in development and maintain key expansion target markets of Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Southern California and Portland, Ore., while also eyeing overseas expansion in the future. As planning carries out, the ambitious 2013 growth plan aims to net Two Men And A Truck® triple the amount of development locations they had at the close of 2012.
Additionally, the company plans on achieving a total of 400 locations within the next five years while doubling its corporate office team, expanding the headquarters by 25,000 square feet, investing in automation, and increasing its referral rate as close as possible to 100 percent. They currently hold a 96 percent positive referral rate and operate in 36 states.
"We are committed to our vision and goals and are looking to continue to invest and expand. We are blessed and have great momentum but we are not sitting still and will continue to make the Two Men experience accessible to more customers," said Brig Sorber, CEO and one of the original two men of Two Men And A Truck®. "That is why we are diversifying our offering even more and targeting both coasts. We want to tell the larger story as Founder Mary Ellen Sheets said, 'Two Men And A Truck® isa place where you can grow your career, be a difference-maker in people's lives as they plan their moves, and work up the job ladder to evolve and grow each location as its own profitable business operation.'"
The brand has been able to capitalize on the increased interest of prospective franchisees in the service segment of the industry. With many franchisees starting with a single territory and expanding once properly funded, the scalability coupled with the start-up costs between $173,000 and $578,500 (depending on the purchase or lease of a truck fleet) has positioned Two Men And A Truck® to meet its aggressive goals. By 2018, the brand plans to exceed $750 million in revenue. In order to meet the revenue goal, Two Men And A Truck® spent the past four years carefully preparing and re-focusing the brand for continued expansion.
With 243 U.S. locations and 266 globally, Sorber said re-investing in technology, focusing on hiring talented people and refining already solid operational systems throughout their franchise network have all been vital components in their ability to grow.
