The Little Gym Introduces New "Victory Skill Growth Tracker"

Regular Updates Reinforce Child-Focused Gym's Skill-Growth Approach to Physical, Emotional and Social Development

SCOTTSDALE, AZ - (Marketwired - Aug 12, 2013) - With a focus on "Serious Fun," The Little Gym helps children build self-confidence and self-esteem as they develop physical, emotional and life skills in a positive, non-competitive environment. This year, the child-focused physical development franchise is making certain that families can share in the excitement of their children's accomplishments through a new "Victory Skill Growth Tracker" that allows each individual gym to provide regular updates to parents about their children's activities and personal progress.

"Not only do we want parents and caregivers to be able to celebrate their children's achievements," said The Little Gym President & CEO, Ruk Adams. "We want to emphasize that the fun classes we offer at The Little Gym are actually designed to help children develop very specific skills."

The curriculum at The Little Gym is built around themed "Learning Units" that are designed to take children through a natural progression of physical, emotional and life skills. As children build on their successes in each Learning Unit, their self-confidence grows, giving them a can-do attitude about their bodies and their social abilities, and creating a strong foundation for success in school and life.

The new "Victory Skill Growth Tracker" is a natural extension of The Little Gym's approach to skill development. The activities in each Learning Unit are designed to teach skills sequentially, producing specific outcomes in all three dimensions of the curriculum: Get Moving! (physical development), Brain Boost! (emotional development) and Citizen Kid! (social development). The "Victory Skill Growth Tracker" allows The Little Gym instructors to more easily track a child's skill growth throughout the season and then talk with or send an email to the parent with documented proof of their child's improvement.

"While we know that parents will appreciate hearing about their children's achievements, we also believe that meaningful learning is about the journey and not the destination," said Adams. "Our instructors focus on the journey by delivering a fun, non-competitive, high-energy experience for every child at The Little Gym. We believe that children who experience success in that type of stress-free environment grow into self-confident adults who are intrinsically motivated to continue to expand their skills and excel at whatever they choose to do."

The Little Gym locations nationwide are now enrolling students for the 2013-2014 Season. To learn more, please visit www.TheLittleGym.com.
