Caliburger Signs First Sub-Franchise Deal under Middle East Master

Caliburger will Open In Bahrain as The First Unit to Hit the Middle East

August 16, 2013 // Franchising.com // CaliBurger^TM, the fast casual better burger concept that is meeting the worldwide demand for fresh, better burgers, recently signed a major master franchise deal for all of the Middle East with an experienced area developer, who has a successful track record of bringing great brands to strong growth markets and customers in the region. Under that agreement, a recent 5-unit sub deal was signed for Bahrain.

CaliBurger has signed 2013 franchise deals in for Iraq, Kuwait, China and the Philippines, and are not slowing down in the mission to bring their unique burgers and chicken sandwiches to all corners of the globe. Where there is currently a large market gap for their taste and style, CaliBurger is ready to deliver.

The Bahrain franchisee is the CEO of Noor Enterprises, who is the sister company to a multi-concept operator in Bahrain.

“We were attracted to the brand because it is a fresh and fun concept, and we knew we wanted the opportunity to bring the California experience to the region,” a spokesperson for Noor Enterprises said. “We were sold fully after trying the food – the burgers are fantastic!”

They have secured a location for the first store, estimated opening Q1 2014, and are confident that it is a high traffic site that will bring great exposure to the brand. They are currently scouting and evaluating potential locations for their second site as well.

CaliBurger is working with Fransmart, the franchise development company behind the explosive growth of brands such as Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba Mexican Grill, to expand the brand’s international footprint.
