Brick House Tavern + Tap Celebrates the Kickoff of Football Season with New Menu

Chef-Created Dishes and Specialty Cocktails Elevate Sports Tavern Experience

August 20, 2013 // Franchising.com // HOUSTON – Brick House Tavern + Tap takes fall’s favorite activity – football watching – to a whole new level at its 16 fan-friendly locations across the U.S. The elevated sports tavern will be better than home on game day, and any time during the week, with new sandwiches, daily specials, appetizers and specialty cocktails designed to complement the season.

New additions to the menu celebrate the season featuring elevated all-American classics with a tasty twist. Hearty sandwiches, perfect for fall days, include the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich, featuring chicken marinated in spicy buttermilk and then fried, dressed with bacon ranch and served on a brioche bun; the Drunken Pork Meatball Hero using Brick House scratch-made pork meatballs, dressed in a whiskey BBQ sauce; and a unique new take on a Sunday afternoon favorite, the Grilled Cheese & Tomato Soup. Rather than traditional cheddar, the sandwich is made with a combination of smoked cheddar, shaved brie and mozzarella and is topped with crispy prosciutto, grilled red onions and arugula. It is served with rich, house-made tomato bisque – a big step up from the red-and-white can mom used to open.

“We designed our game-day offerings to be just like home – only better – with a chef-designed menu, scratch kitchen, attentive wait staff, craft beers and signature cocktails,” said Brick House Tavern + Tap Senior Director James Blystone. “We do all the work so our guests can focus on food, friends and football.”

Brick House’s Snacks menu has also been updated to include the Tap Sandwich with salami, roasted bell pepper and creole mustard on a soft pretzel bun and Shock Top Mussels, served traditional style but steamed in Shock Top Hard Cider. Great for the whole gang are Brick House’s new crispy, hot Duck Wings, served with a bold dipping sauce with Sriracha for heat.

Guests can enjoy the new fall items or old favorites such as Brick House’s handmade, how-you-like-‘em burgers, handcrafted meatballs and wide range of appetizers and entrees, along with free Wi-Fi, 30+ big screen HDTVs, comfy recliners and private party spaces.

And, because no game day is complete without a cold drink, Brick House has plenty of options for crisp fall days, including new specialty cocktails such as the Buffalo Snap and Bourbon Spiced Apple, both with hints of cinnamon and made with top-shelf bourbon, plus more than 80 domestic, imported and local craft beers on tap.
