Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers® Announces Executive-Level Promotions

Stephen Dixon Named Chief Development Officer
Michael Brown Appointed Vice President of Finance

The growing Fort Worth-based company, with 36 centers operating (14 in Dallas/Ft. Worth) and 25 in development, promoted Stephen Dixon to Chief Development Officer and Michael Brown to Vice President of Finance.

Dixon moves into the new position three years after joining the company, most recently serving as Vice President of Franchise Development. His new role will include franchisee recruitment as well as working closely with franchisees to oversee the real estate and construction phases of new units.

Stephen continually implements strategies to better communicate our franchise offering, discover industry-leading resources with which to partner, and to streamline processes through advanced technologies. We’re thrilled to promote him to an expanded role on our executive leadership team.”

As Chief Development Officer, Dixon will continue to oversee all aspects of the franchise recruitment process for Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers®. Additional responsibilities now include working with franchisees and outside resources to facilitate the real estate site selection and construction phases of new center development.

The Oklahoma State University (B.S. Business Administration Marketing) and University of Denver (M.B.A) graduate has worked in the franchise industry since 1987 at a variety of companies with multiple regional and national locations. Since joining Children’s Lighthouse he has led the process of awarding 35 new franchise agreements.

Brown moves into the Vice President of Finance position for Children’s Lighthouse following his impressive time with the company as Director of Finance. In recent years, Brown has been integral in establishing financing options for franchisees, providing guidance to new Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers® franchise owners and introducing a host of financial reporting procedures that have positioned the company for continued growth in the years ahead.

As Vice President of Finance, Brown’s day-to-day responsibilities include working with lenders and Children’s Lighthouse franchisees to secure financing for newly built centers. As part of the founding family of the business, Michael is also active in planning for the future of the company, ranging from new curriculum introductions to the growing list of markets targeted for expansion.

Prior to leading the Children’s Lighthouse finance department, Michael served as the company’s Human Resource and Operations Administrator.

Michael earned his bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
