Sports Marketing: Game On for The Ashton Real Estate Group at Nashville’s RE/MAX Elite

Official Real Estate Team for The Tennessee Titans Wins Year-round

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) October 28, 2013 - How do you maintain your position as the #1 Real Estate Team in Tennessee? How can you create top-of-mind awareness with homebuyers and sellers in a competitive market? According to Gary Ashton, Realtor® and owner of The Ashton Real Estate Team (TAREG) at RE/MAX Elite, you grab the opportunity to align yourself and your 45 agents with Nashville’s #1 NFL team, The Tennessee Titans.

"When the opportunity presented itself in July 2012 to sign on as The Official Real Estate Team for The Tennessee Titans, I did not have to think twice," says Ashton, who has a keen appreciation of the far-reaching marketing advantages in the Nashville market that come with this designation.

Relocation Services and Sales

As a top-notch relocation expert and real estate professional, Ashton, the Official Real Estate Agent of The Tennessee Titans, helps players and staff find their dream home. Many newly drafted players prefer to rent or lease within a 15 to 20-mile radius from LP Field and the training facility, though Ashton has closed sales on a number of homes as well.

"The Tennessee Titans’ organization invited us to be part of the new players’ orientation at the beginning of the 2013-14 season. We make a point of it to meet all the players as well as the rest of the staff - and listen carefully to their specific housing needs," notes Ashton. "This is our second season and our relationship continues to grow and strengthen our designation as the teams’ real estate resource."

Marketing Strategy

"The Tennessee Titans are Nashville’s home team, and so are we," remarks Ashton. "As part of the major marketing agreement we signed with them, we can include their logo on all our marketing materials, which creates a lot of extra awareness and name recognition. In addition, TAREG hosts a tailgate party during every home game. The RV we use for tailgating, really a moveable billboard, is set up on prime real estate, the SE side of the stadium where many fans stream in. It’s great placement for our company name and logo together with the Titans’ logo.

"Earlier this year we shot an excellent TV commercial, right on the field, and as a fun team exercise, TAREG agents recorded a radio jingle as well, with me on the drums," says Ashton, whose passion, besides real estate, is playing music. "We try to capitalize on our marketing partnership with The Titans in many ways, and we are beginning to see our significant investment pay off."

In addition to traditional advertising and marketing activities, TAREG maintains an active social media presence on Facebook and Twitter, highlighting the games and tailgating events.

RE/MAX Elite: Official Real Estate Company of the Nashville Predators

In the same year Ashton signed his marketing agreement with The Tennessee Titans, RE/MAX Elite became the Exclusive Real Estate Company of the Nashville Predators. Carrie Zeier, Owner/CEO of RE/MAX Elite, explains: "My two sons, Zeke and Ike, play travel hockey and are avid Predator fans, so I was already very engaged with this professional ice hockey team. I also know that being the Official Real Estate Company of the Nashville Predators is an outstanding opportunity for all agents at RE/MAX Elite."

She and Ashton note that these two sports marketing agreements with both Nashville teams have generated outstanding synergy. "We do work closely together to try and capitalize on our sponsorships and share ideas and promotions to further enhance our relationships with the teams. The reaction from our current and potential clients has been better than we ever expected," explains Ashton.

Jay Garrity, Marketing Director for RE/MAX Regional Services (RRS) who works with more than 300 independently owned RE/MAX offices throughout Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Southern Ohio and Southeastern Michigan, is also a great proponent of the use of sports marketing to promote the RE/MAX brand. On behalf of RRS and RE/MAX of Georgia, he signed on with The Atlanta Falcons for the 2013-14 season. RE/MAX has multiple sports marketing agreements with college teams in other regions as well.

"This type of partnership with a top NFL or NHL team shows RE/MAX’ commitment to our agents, our clients, and the market," he notes. "Sports marketing allows us to build great brand association, and I agree with Gary and Carrie that it is a great motivator for our agents as well. Sports marketing helps us set the stage to promote our services in exciting and relevant ways."

Currently, The Ashton Real Estate Team of RE/MAX Elite is the #1 RE/MAX team in Nashvillle, #1 in Tennessee and #25 in the USA.
