World Of Beer Franchising, Inc. Announces 50th Location

Original Craft Beer Concept Hits Milestone With New Location in Florida

October 30, 2013 // Franchising.com // TAMPA, FLA. – World of Beer (WOB), a rapidly-expanding network of beer-centric taverns known for 500+ craft brews, craft spirits and Tavern Fare, opened its 50th location in Brandon, FL. The tavern – at 2878 Providence Lakes Blvd. – is the first in Brandon and seventh in Tampa Bay.

"World of Beer is proud to be a company showing so much growth while maintaining strong connections to its roots. This 50th location is a celebration of customers, Development Partners and Franchisees making it possible," said World of Beer CEO Paul Avery. "At each WOB location we start with the basics - passion for craft beer and a welcoming atmosphere."

World of Beer was formed by Scott Zepp and Matt LaFon in 2007 in Tampa, FL. Six years later they have 50 locations in 16 states and sold a couple hundred more. They currently operate in states including Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.

"We created an exciting brand, appealing to a wide variety of customers," says Zepp. "It’s an honor to provide unique offerings in so many great locations throughout the country."

World of Beer will open all future locations with their newly unveiled Tavern Fare menu. This menu complements the quality of craft beer and starts with classic comfort foods, combining them with traditional bar offerings and a contemporary spin. It features craft beer-infused appetizers and options like the Sesame Seared Ahi Tuna and a selection of salads. These lighter options are accompanied by hearty favorites like WOB’s Signature German Pretzel, the Classic Reuben Sandwich and Craft Pizzas.

WOB also debuted craft beer-infused cocktails, complemented by craft spirits from local distilleries. They continue to appeal to all tastes and customers, while still keeping the founding philosophy of supporting local breweries and musicians, through their live music scene featuring national and local acts.

World of Beer took a unique and original concept, and combined it with progressive business strategies. Passion for craft beer and a welcoming atmosphere remains the founding philosophy, with constant innovations to widen appeal. By partnering with local breweries and distilleries, World of Beer offers something unique at each location, while operating at a national level.

WOB rewards customers through a Loyalty Club Program enabling them to earn points by trying different beers. Customers earn points for different beers purchased, gaining access, appreciation and rewards. The program is available to all customers, and is easily accessible through the Industry Leading WOB app. It’s WOB culture in the palm of your hand.

WOB was founded in Tampa, FL in 2007. Locations to soon open include Seattle, WA, Syracuse, NY and SanTan, AZ.
