Tempe, Arizona (PRWEB) November 18, 2013 - Following an extremely successful "Month-Of-Giving" campaign which took place in August, GameTruck Licensing, LLC, a leader in video game entertainment, donated $17,000 to Make-A-Wish® that will go toward granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions. GameTruck, the original and only patented mobile video game theater, continued its support of the children’s organization after launching the franchise-wide program last year. This year, the company donated an additional $20 for every party which was booked throughout the month of August. In addition to the month-long campaign, GameTruck franchise owners will continue to participate in Make-A-Wish chapter events through June 2014.
"We are extremely proud of the tremendous team work across all of our franchises throughout the country, who participated in this year’s August 'Month of Giving' campaign, and exceeded our goal," said Scott Novis, founder and CEO of GameTruck. "We made a considerable financial contribution to Make-A-Wish which we know will bring smiles to these children’s faces through the incredible experiences the organization develops."
GameTruck offers a premier party experience for both children and adults in an interactive, multiplayer environment accommodating at least 16 players. GameTruck trailers are equipped with more than three dozen of the latest multiplayer video games and all the major video game consoles (XBOX360®, Nintendo Wii™ and Playstation®). A GameCoach manages each event, promoting fair, interactive play. A standard GameTruck party consists of two hours of play for ages 6 and up; 16-20 players can compete in the trucks interior. Just like at home, GameTruck parents can look through the library and take out what they deem unacceptable for their kids.
"We are very grateful for companies like GameTruck and their support for Make-A-Wish," said David A. Williams, president and chief executive officer of Make-A-Wish America. "GameTruck has once again proven its dedication to our mission and we look forward to working with them again next year as well."

Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. According to a 2011 U.S. study of wish impact, most health professionals surveyed believe a wish-come-true can have a positive impact on the health of a child. Kids say wishes give them renewed strength to fight their illnesses, and their parents say these experiences help strengthen the entire family. Based in Phoenix, Make-A-Wish is one of the world’s leading children’s charities, serving children in every community in the United States and its territories. With the help of generous donors and more than 25,000 volunteers, Make-A-Wish grants a wish somewhere in the country every 38 minutes. It has granted more than 226,000 wishes since its inception in 1980; nearly 14,000 in 2012 alone. Visit Make-A-Wish at wish.org to learn more.
