Orangetheory Fitness Set to Open First Southern Colorado Location in Early 2014

New studio will bring the 'Orange Effect' to Colorado Springs, Colo. Orangetheory Fitness, a high-intensity interval training gym, will open in early 2014.

(PRWEB) December 02, 2013 - Orangetheory Fitness® (http://www.orangetheoryfitness.com), a high-intensity interval training studio, will open the first Colorado Springs, Colo. location in early 2014. The 3,000-square-foot studio will be located at 5990 Stetson Hills Boulevard at Powers, beneath the clock tower next to King Soopers.

"It's our goal to help each member achieve their personal best, whether it's part of their New Year's resolutions, to prepare for a wedding, or just to be healthier and happier in life," said Jeff Randall, franchise owner and studio manager of the Orangetheory Fitness in Colorado Springs, Colo. "Experts are raving that high intensity interval training tops the list of fitness trends in 2014, so it'll make for an exciting year to introduce Southern Colorado to the 'orange zone'."

The heart rate-based, group workout at Orangetheory Fitness is cardio, power and strength training combined in a single hour session, using treadmills, indoor rowing machines and weight training blocks. Everyone wears a heart-rate monitor and heart rates are displayed on large television screens. The goal is to get the heart beating between 84-percent to 91-percent of its maximum rate for 12 to 20 minutes of the workout, resulting in a high metabolic increase and a calorie burn up to 36 hours post workout. This is referred to as the 'Orange Effect.'

Orangetheory Fitness offers three levels of non-contract, month-to-month memberships priced according to the number of monthly visits. Presales are currently underway offering significantly discounted rates for founding members starting at $8 per class. To become a founding member, call 719.632.3777.

"My husband [Jeff Randall] and I joined Orangetheory Fitness in Highlands Ranch nearly two years ago," said Anne Randall, franchise co-owner. "We're still active, and we still love it; that's what prompted us to take this concept outside of Denver. The moment we drove into town [Colorado Springs], we instantly knew that it was the right fit."

To celebrate the grand opening of the new studio location, Orangetheory Fitness will host the Weight Loss Challenge in early February. The goal of this six-week challenge is to show the greatest improvement over the course of the contest, measured by percentage of weight loss. Participants must attend a minimum of three 60-minute Orangetheory Fitness sessions per week, and the top participant with the highest overall percentage of weight loss walks away with $2,500 in cash.

Orangetheory Fitness has 194 locations, including eight in Denver, and is currently accepting qualified franchisees and area developers for U.S. and international markets. To learn more about the newest location, visit http://www.orangetheoryfitness.com.
