Cottage Inn Set to Increase Locations in Michigan

Cottage Inn Pizza, a long-standing presence in Ann Arbor, continues to expand in Michigan with sights set on national expansion.

Ann Arbor, MI (PRWEB) January 28, 2014 - Cottage Inn Pizza will soon reopen locations in Royal Oak and Troy, Michigan. As the economy picks up speed, so does the interest in franchising. Cottage Inn has felt the growth first hand. "In 2013, there were maybe a dozen people that inquired about new locations, and one new store opened in Detroit while three others changed hands to new owners. In January of this year alone, the Cottage Inn management office has fielded 10 requests for franchising information," said Deborah Masse, the VP of Operations.

Cottage Inn Pizza, a 65-year staple in the Ann Arbor market, is entertaining a few potential franchisees in Michigan as well as other states such as Illinois and Florida. Cottage Inn is no stranger to growth; though currently at 47 stores, Cottage Inn once had upwards of 80 stores. "When the economy began its downward spiral in 2003, Cottage Inn felt the crunch like every other franchise system," stated Shafyi Broumand, Senior Marketing and Sales Consultant for Cottage Inn. But Cottage Inn survived at the majority of their locations, in part due to the quality products they provide.

"With everything new happening at Cottage Inn, new website, new digital marketing plan, new gluten-free products, new branding, new look at the corporate stores, new on-line ordering with a built-in loyalty program, it is like Cottage Inn has been reborn," says Marketing Manager Myranda Grim. In 2013, Cottage Inn continued to serve their specialty gourmet pizzas while also introducing new Gourmet Salads, Gluten-free Sandwiches, and improving upon their wings and Cinnamon Innstix desserts. The management team at Cottage Inn expects to see new stores in the Troy, Royal Oak, and Downriver markets in 2014, with plans to roll out several stores in Illinois and Florida in the beginning stages.
