Recent Study Shows Health Care Worker Confidence Increasing

February 18, 2014 // Franchising.com // Chicago, Ill. - A recent study of health care workers shows that their confidence in the economy is growing at a rapid rate. That has In Home Personal Services, a non-medical senior home care franchise based in the Chicago area, poised to expand in Chicagoland and other parts of the country.

"We perceive that there will be an increasing number of qualified health care workers looking for jobs in the coming months and years," said Michael Collura, president of In Home Personal Services. "We want to position In Home Personal Services as a great place for such workers to find career and entrepreneurial opportunities."

The Q3 Randstad Healthcare Employee Confidence Index, released in Dec. 2013, showed that 59.2 percent of healthcare employees were confident about the economy, their own job security and the future of their employers. That's the highest the numbers have been since Randstad Healthcare started the survey in Q1 of 2012. It's especially good news for both job-seekers and health care companies who plan to recruit new employees; 62 percent of health care workers are confident they can find a new job, with 31 percent saying they plan to seek new employment, and 24 percent believing there are more jobs on the market.

In Home Personal Services currently services hundreds of seniors in the Chicagoland area and recently began expanding with franchise opportunities in other parts of Illinois and several other states. The senior care agency is preparing to provide more home services to an expanding senior population as baby boomers continue to reach the age of retirement. In Home Personal Services offers affordable, quality non-medical care that allows older people to stay in their homes and give their families peace of mind. Services include bathing, reminding seniors to take their medication, helping them with shopping and getting to medical appointments. The agency has set itself apart from its competitors by offering such features as flat rates for services, no daily and no hourly minimums, and no long-term contracts, so that seniors and their families can customize their care according to their needs.

"We are always looking for qualified caregivers," said Collura. "We pride ourselves on high standards for quality care, and we want to hire people with the same kind of standards, so they will fit well into our company culture."
