Caring Transitions of North Dallas Suburbs Named Franchise of the Year

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) March 25, 2014 - When Jeff and Donna Rea opened Caring Transitions of North Dallas Suburbs two years ago, they were looking for careers close-to-home that would allow them to work with the elderly population. They were named the Rookie of the Year franchise in early 2013 and now, just one year later, they’ve been recognized by the Caring Transitions corporate office as the Franchise of the Year for 2014.

The award was presented at the Caring Transitions national conference in San Antonio in mid-February.

The Franchise of the Year Award is given annually to someone who is recognized as a true contributor to the Caring Transitions franchise system on multiple levels. From franchise development and training to coaching existing franchisees and participating in system-wide projects while providing feedback to the corporate office.

"Jeff and Donna Rea are definitely all of those things. Rookies of the Year in 2013, it is no surprise that they have taken their franchise to the next level for 2014. They are truly involved in all aspects of the Franchise system. They continuously participate in the franchise development process, they open their doors to new franchisees as an on-site training center and they’ve provided helpful feedback on projects such as the Caring Transitions Job Matrix and the Caring Transitions Accelerator," said Caring Transitions President Chris Seman. "On top of that, they have managed to build a strong business in the Dallas Market and are truly a role model for Caring Transitions businesses around the country."

Caring Transitions of North Dallas Suburbs, which serves Plano, Allen, McKinney, Fairview/Lucas and the surrounding areas, specializes in organizing and managing Senior Moves, downsizingand liquidation of belongings through estate sales. In addition to the physical moving services, Caring Transitions can help with space planning, online auctions and more.

"We were completely shocked by the award. There are so many successful offices in the country and we didn’t expect the recognition at all. We love to mentor and train new offices and we are one of five certified training offices in the USA. Being involved at that level certainly helps new franchisees, but it’s really helped us too," Donna said. "It’s always important to know that the work you’re doing is appreciated and it’s truly an honor to be recognized. We are so blessed and proud to be part of the Caring Transitions family."

Founded in 2006, the Caring Transitions franchise has been a trusted and highly respected national company leading the way in senior moving, household liquidations and estate sales management in dozens of cities across the United States. Caring Transitions is part of the International Franchise Association, the Small Business Association’s Franchise Registry, VetFran and Minority Fran.

Before starting their business together, Jeff worked in Telecommunication Industry for 42 years mainly in project/program management and Donna, who has a background in human resources, spent a significant amount of time volunteering with hospice and Meals of Wheels. As they looked to start a new career together, Jeff and Donna found Caring Transitions through a good friend, who worked for another Caring Transitions franchise.

"We felt called to work with the elderly population and when we found Caring Transitions it all started to fall into place. The growth since we opened has just been amazing. I think a huge part of our success is that Jeff and I work together and we have complementary skill sets. His background is in operations and my background is working with employee management, marketing and networking, so it’s a wonderful partnership. That has made all the difference for us," Donna said.

To round out the family business, the couple’s daughter Nicole, who just graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas, recently joined the team and runs the moving business. Jeff and Donna also wanted to recognize their entire team of employees and managers– especially Charlene Graham, who has been with the business since before the official launch and Charlotte Kroll who has recently been promoted to Manager.

"We have the most amazing team on the planet. Our people are out there on the front lines working with clients every day and they’ve helped us grow this business. We couldn’t do it without them," Donna said.
