Rainbow Academy™ Foundation to Award Scholarships to Deserving High School Students

Non-Profit Arm of New Jersey-Based Child Care Franchise Seeking Graduating Local Seniors Who Share the Company's Core Values in Order to "Create a Better Future for Others"

April 25, 2014 // Franchising.com // Piscataway – The Rainbow Academy Foundation – a 501(c)3 non-profit organization created by the Rainbow Academy Franchise Company – is proud to announce that it will be offering a number of $1,000 scholarships to high school students in several of the New Jersey communities that are currently served by the child care company's early learning centers.

"Family values are at the heart of what Rainbow Academy is all about," explains Guy Falzarano, Founder and CEO of Rainbow Academy. "Our Foundation is an extension of our company's Circle of Care philosophy which states that every member of the Rainbow Academy family is equally important – from the children and parents we serve, to the staff and owners who represent our early education and child care company in communities throughout New Jersey. Our Foundation takes that philosophy one step further by bringing the communities we serve into that Circle of Care. Each and every member of the Circle is interrelated and has an impact on the future development of the child. The Rainbow Academy Foundation allows us to fulfill our commitment to support everyone within that circle. Because we are educationally based and established to foster a lifelong love of learning in our students, we could think of no better way to support the communities that support us than by offering a $1,000 scholarship to high school students who share our core values. It is our belief that they will pay it forward and create a better future for others."

High school seniors who attend the following high schools: Rutherford High School, Woodbridge High School, JFK High School in Iselin, Colonia High School, and Mahwah High School – who wish to be considered for one of the $1,000 scholarships must:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited institution for the 2014-2015 school year
  • Submit a written recommendation from a teacher or administrator attesting to the applicant's character
  • Write an original one page essay about how they exhibit Rainbow Academy's core values on an ongoing basis – must include applicant's name, school and contact information.

Rainbow Academy's Core Values comprise:

Care deeply with every genuine interaction
Happiness – creating happy memories in a joyful environment
Integrity – being honest and respectful in all relationships
Lead by example – set the example for all others to follow
Deliver consistent "WOW" customer service
Recognize, reward and build relationships that celebrate the accomplishments and efforts of others

Nurture each family member in a supportive and positive environment
