NYC-Based Junk-Removal Franchise Partners with IFA’s VetFran to Help U.S. Veterans Transition into Business

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 06, 2014 - The Junkluggers, a junk-removal franchise based in New York City, is proud to announce a partnership with the International Franchise Association’s VetFran program. Under the partnership, The Junkluggers will offer a $5,000 discount off the initial franchise fee to honorably discharged veterans.

The Junkluggers has established a reputation for working with men and women who have served. Two veterans, Philip McIntire and Ronnie Esquivel, have found success since joining the company. McIntire works in the New York City office as the Office Manager and Lugger Extraordinaire and has been a member of the National Guard since April 2009. Esquivel is the Territory Manager of Westchester County and Connecticut and previously served as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment, 3rd Battalion.

Furthermore, The Junkluggers has given back to veterans through partnerships with a variety of veteran support organizations and charitable donations as part of The Junkluggers Veterans Initiative spearheaded by McIntire. Through this program, The Junkluggers has teamed up with The Jericho Project in New York City, an organization that has been helping out the homeless population for two decades and specifically works with homeless veterans, putting them in supportive housing. The Junkluggers then provides furniture in order to furnish the veteran’s new apartment. The Junkluggers has also partnered with The Institute for Community Living, Services for the Underserved, Hope for the Warriors, NYESGR, and other veteran support organizations.
