HGTV Love It Or List It Star Hilary Farr To Solve Design Dilemmas At Art Van Furniture In Orland Park On Thursday, June 5

International Designer to Share Expertise, Tackle Guests' Real Life Decor Predicaments

May 28, 2014 // Franchising.com // WARREN, MICH. - Gotta love it! Hilary Farr, international home designer and cohost of Love It or List It on HGTV, will lend her design expertise to help solve the home decorating dilemmas of guests at Art Van Furniture in Orland Park (15080 S. La Grange Road) on Thursday, June 5 from 6 to 8 p.m. From paint color predicaments to furniture arranging fixes to space saving suggestions, no design topic will be off limits for the witty, tell-it-like-it-is television star.

"Hilary epitomizes style, savvy and decorating know-how," said Art Van Elslander, founder and chairman of Art Van Furniture. "Her impeccable eye for design and knack for identifying décor dos and don'ts will be invaluable to guests anxious to revamp and refresh their homes."

Amy Tara Koch, author, journalist and style expert for CNN, USA TODAY, Parents and People, on air style contributor on Chicago's Windy City LIVE, and columnist for Today's Chicago Woman will emcee the free event which is open to the public. Fans can reserve their spot at the event by calling 888-619-2199 or by visiting artvan.com/events. Attendees are also invited to email a photo and description of the design dilemma in their home prior to June 5 to specialevents@artvan.com.

"Chicago is my kind of town with its strong focus on fashion and eclectic living spaces," said Farr. "I can't wait to meet with everyone at Art Van Furniture's gorgeous Orland Park store to help them make their homes even more fabulous and functional."

Farr is president of Hilary Farr Design, a thriving interior design company founded over 15 years ago. She is credited as the first designer to stage properties for sale in Toronto where she currently resides. The internationally-known design sensation has also lived in Australia, England, California, and New York. Much of Farr's success is attributed to her ability to anticipate industry trends, understand the personalities of her many unique clients, and to respond with distinctive designs that suit their needs and lifestyles. Drama, timeless glamour and functionality are Farr's trademarks.
