Bonjour DFW Travelers! La Madeleine Signs Agreement To Expand Non-Traditional Presence

French-Inspired Bakery Café Inks Deal to Open in DFW International Airport

June 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // DALLAS – Travelers of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport will soon be able to experience the tastes of the French countryside - La Madeleine Country French Café announced today a signed agreement to open a new café in the A Terminal in October.

As the fifth airport location to sign a deal since the inception of the company's non-traditional growth plan in 2011, la Madeleine has been pursuing strategic expansion opportunities to bring the treasured French countryside experience and food to its loyal customers. As part of this strategy, la Madeleine has partnered with HMSHost to open the brand's first location in DFW International.

"La Madeleine continues to explore expansion opportunities to share our French-inspired bakery café experience with new guests near and far," said Paul Carolan, chief development officer for Le Duff America, the family of restaurants that encompasses favorites like Bruegger's Bagels and Brioche Dorée. "Our cafés offer a unique choice within airports, and we're excited to be partnering with HMSHost to bring travelers from DFW, and all over the world, our fresh and authentic French cuisine in a convenient setting. We have worked with HMSHost in the past, and have found it to be a beneficial partnership. We couldn't ask for a better team to bring the DFW Airport a full-service la Madeleine."

Situated in the A Terminal, la Madeleine will welcome all to sit, sip and savor without the rush of a busy day of travel in their way. Lingering is lauded and guests will be given ample time to enjoy la Madeleine's authentic tastes, aromas and ambiance among friends, family and colleagues.

The café's new design and décor unites comfort with the French country atmosphere for which la Madeleine has become known. La Madeleine is also enhancing its seating options, which now include banquette seating, high-top tables and a wine-tasting table. The signature stone fireplace will add to the ambiance of the seating area, and updated lighting will round out the relaxed dining experience.

"We are thrilled to sign this agreement in DFW with HMSHost, and look forward to welcoming in travelers from all over the world," said John Cahill, chief operating officer at la Madeleine. "DFW is as lively as ever, with new dining options and retail stores surrounding our location. The addition of this café underscores our growth in the region and loyalty of our la Madeleine guests."

Known for its signature Tomato Basil soupe and Chicken Caesar salade, la Madeleine serves a variety of authentic fresh-baked breads, pastries, desserts, salades, sandwiches and soupes as well as a diverse beverage menu including coffee and wine.
