Taco John's Announces Partnership with STOMP Out Bullying™

June 12, 2014 // Franchising.com // It happens more often than most realize. According to STOMP Out Bullying™, the leading national bullying prevention organization in the United States, one out of every four kids faces bullying. Depending on their age, up to 43% of students are cyberbullied.

"It's a problem that's growing at an alarming rate. It has everyone worried – parents, students, teachers and employers. That's why Taco John's® has decided to work with STOMP Out Bullying™," says Jeff Linville, CEO for Taco John's®. "Together we will raise awareness of bullying and the many forms it can take. We will help connect students, parents and teachers with the valuable resources they need to prevent bullying."

Taco John's® is working with its franchisees to promote STOMP Out Bullying™ at the grassroots level. Letters asking for support are going out to local school principals. Taco John's® is providing posters that schools can hang to raise awareness of bullying prevention. And in each restaurant, guests are encouraged to purchase $1 donation cards with the proceeds benefiting STOMP Out Bullying™.

"We are excited to have Taco John's® work with us as a Bullying Prevention Partner. We're grateful for the company's support of our mission and their desire to help put an end to bullying and cyberbullying," says Ross Ellis, founder and CEO of STOMP Out Bullying™. "Together we will connect bullied and at-risk students to our HelpChat Line, facilitate peer mentorships in schools and empower students to step up and be positive leaders." More information about STOMP Out Bullying™, as well as free resources for students, parents and educators can be found online at www.StompOutBullying.org
