Jan-Pro Named on Top 50 List for Veterans for VetConnection Program

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) July 02, 2014 - Jan-Pro Cleaning Systems, a leading global commercial cleaning franchise, has been named one of the World Franchising Network's 2014 Top 50 Franchises for Veterans. The fifth annual list was published in USA Today's Franchising Today section on June 20, 2014.

To compile the list, the World Franchising Network issued a survey to over 300 companies who opted in to be evaluated. The survey inquired about the franchisor's current veteran participation and the presence of programs designed specifically for veterans.

Dennis Thompson, Jan-Pro's COO and a fellow veteran himself, comments on the recognition. "Being a veteran myself, I believe all Americans owe a great deal of gratitude to our service men and women, especially when they transition back to civilian society," Thompson says. "Out of enormous respect and efforts to provide assistance for veterans, Jan-Pro offers special financing and discounted programs for easy entry into franchise ownership."

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, veterans continue to have more difficulty in finding jobs than non-veterans, although the overall unemployment rate has dropped to 6.6 percent. To help combat this issue, the Jan-Pro VetConnection Program offers veterans substantial financing incentives as well as VetConnection Vouchers, redeemable on preferred vendor partners of Jan-Pro. Justin Cali, Jan-Pro Master Owner in Orlando, FL, gives first-hand insight on how his military experience has directly affected his franchising success.

"In the military, you are working with people, utilizing your resources, and developing discipline to get the job done," Cali explains. "In the business world, you use those skills in different mission- we are to grow our business, generate revenue, and create profit. The military gives you the confidence to be able to handle anything, and it takes the same discipline to do the hard work of running a business."

Thompson and Cali both mentioned that the blueprint structure of the military prepares one well for the structure of a franchise. "Do A and B and you'll get C," says Cali. Florida has a high population of veterans and Americans currently involved in the military, so Cali and his team are able to attract franchisees through the VetConnection program.

"Those asking about the next step, the junior leaders who are transitioning out of military service, are a perfect fit for the Jan-Pro unit franchise model," continues Cali. "They have the Master Owner there to help direct and counsel them, while still having the opportunity to demonstrate their leadership aptitude and their can-do attitude."
