Cousins Subs® Introduces E-Gift Cards

Guests Can Give the Gift of Cousins with the Click of a Button

August 13, 2014 // Franchising.com // MILWAUKEE  – Cousins Subs guests are now able to quickly and easily purchase E-Gift cards and web cards for friends and family by visiting cousinssubs.com/giftcards. These virtual gift cards can be sent via email and are redeemable for in-store and online orders at any Cousins Subs location.

By visiting cousinssubs.com/giftcards, guests can select the amount of money to load onto the E-Gift card, as well as the delivery date, card design and a personalized message. An email will then be sent to the recipient with a virtual gift card number. The recipient can conveniently redeem the E-Gift card by showing the cashier the email on a mobile device or providing the cashier the 10-digit card number. The guest may also redeem an E-Gift card online at www.orders.cousinssubs.com.

Guests also have the option to send a web card, or a physical gift card, through the mail. Web cards can be purchased online, and a physical card will be shipped to the recipient instead of a virtual gift card number.

"As more of our guests embrace the trend of shopping and ordering online, we wanted to offer a better way to purchase gift cards and share our subs," said Justin McCoy, vice president of marketing at Cousins Subs. "With these virtual gift cards, giving the gift of Cousins Subs is now easier and more convenient than ever."

Cousins has partnered with Paytronix to implement this service. Paytronix handles transactions from millions of restaurant patrons nationwide, creating loyalty and boosting revenue with features based on guest behavior trends, such as social and mobile capabilities.

About Cousins Subs®

Cousins Subs® and its franchisees operate more than 120 sub sandwich shops in four states, with bold expansion plans. The first Cousins Subs was established in Milwaukee in 1972 by Bill Specht and his cousin. Their dream was to bring East Coast-style sub sandwiches to Milwaukee – with their own deli fresh touch. They started with their bread, developing a secret recipe with the perfect taste and crunch. That bread is the cornerstone of the Cousins Subs slogan, "Better Bread. Better Subs." The original recipe is still closely followed at every Cousins Subs restaurant, where each sandwich is made to order using freshly sliced deli meats, cheeses, and vegetables – and the bread is baked fresh each day. Forty-two years later and still family owned, Cousins Subs employees and franchisees are driven by their mission to "Make it a Better Day" in all they do. In 2013, the brand proudly announced the establishment of the Make it Better Foundation, dedicated to funding causes that address health and wellness, hunger and youth education in the communities that Cousins Subs serves.
