CREAM on List of those 'You Need to Visit Before You Die'

September 18, 2014 // Franchising.com // Millbrae, CA – CREAM, a San Francisco-based dessert franchise that specializes in high quality ice cream sandwiches and other confections, has made BuzzFeed's list of "27 Ice Cream Shops You Need To Visit Before You Die."

At number 22 on the list, here's what BuzzFeed had to say about CREAM:

"CREAM stands for 'Cookies Rule Everything Around Me' and you will want to submit to their reign too. CREAM has several locations in Northern California, but you will want to pay a visit to their Berkeley location. You'll find mouth-watering ice cream flavors like cinnamon chill and royal caramel swirl, along with cookies like butter sugar and turtle. And yes, CREAM has their own ice cream and cookie recipes. When it comes to sweets, NorCal DOESN'T mess around."

CREAM's eight locations throughout the San Francisco Bay area offer 20 super premium ice cream flavors, 20 varieties of homemade cookies (including four vegan and six gluten free options) and as many as 24 toppings. Though the ice cream sandwiches are the main draw, CREAM also offers "The Cream Taco," a taco shell shaped waffle cone, milkshakes, floats, malts, scoops of ice cream and other baked goods.

"This is a tremendous honor for us," said CREAM founder Jimmy Shamieh, who recently announced plans to expand the concept's presence in California and around the country through franchising. "We have always welcomed the long lines of devoted fans at each and every one of our stores, and look forward to building that fan base nationwide."

CREAM was among five California ice cream shops recognized by the list, which also reached around the world, mentioning shops in Rome, Paris and Australia.
