Industry Leader Debuts New Savory Island Club Sandwiches, Brings Back Naughty or Nice Smoothies with a New Twist on Pumpkin

Starting on Oct. 27, 2014, consumers can experience a fresh take on the turkey club with the introduction of the Savory Island Club sandwiches. The better-for-you restaurant brand is also bringing new flavor news to its popular Naughty or Nice Smoothie line-up.

The new premium sandwiches, Savory Island Clubs, invite guests to savor the wholesomeness of the ingredients like hand-made kale and apple slaw and signature sauces like the chipotle cranberry. These freshly-prepared sandwiches are served on thinly-sliced whole-grain bread, bringing the right amount of crunch to every bite. The unique and flavor-packed sandwiches offer a fresh spin on a classic favorite:

• Chipotle Cranberry Turkey Club – Sweet and spicy, prepared with oven-roasted turkey, bacon, fresh baby spinach, shredded cheddar cheese, topped with a signature Chipotle Cranberry Sauce.
• Rustic Turkey & Apple Club – Crisp and savory, made with the oven-roasted turkey and topped with bacon, gorgonzola and a hand-made kale and apple slaw with chopped kale, julienned apples and shredded carrots tossed in a Dijon honey mustard sauce.

Complimentary to the new line of Savory Island Club sandwiches, the Naughty or Nice Smoothies offer Tropical Smoothie Cafe customers a variety of options to satisfy seasonal cravings in a way that fits their needs. With both light and indulgent options featuring favorite fall and winter flavors – cranberry and pumpkin – the new smoothies bring a fresh, unique twist to these traditional flavors.

For consumers who are feeling "nice" this holiday season, they can either enjoy the Very Berry Cranberry Smoothie, made with strawberries and cranberries, or the Peaches 'N Pumpkin Spice Smoothie, made with pumpkin puree, peaches, goji berries, cinnamon and non-fat yogurt. For those looking to indulge a little, or be "naughty," around the holidays, Tropical Smoothie Cafe offers a Cranberry Truffle Smoothie, made with strawberries and cranberries, and a Pumpkin Pie Smoothie, made with pumpkin puree and cinnamon, both of which are made with non-fat yogurt and blended with Ghirardelli White Frappe for a delicious treat.
