Pop-A-Lock – The Nation’s Largest Locksmith Network – Records Best Year In Franchise History

And Prepares For Increasing Domestic And International Growth

December 10, 2014 // Franchising.com // LAFAYETTE, LA - Pop-A-Lock, the nation’s largest full service locksmith network, has shown an exponential growth rate – 2014 being the most successful since the franchise-structured company’s conception in 1991. Proof of that growth came from Entrepreneur Magazine’s 35th Annual Franchise 500. This survey is recognized as the best and most comprehensive ranking of franchises throughout the world.

Pop-A-Lock exceeded its previous ranking of #118 and garnered the #105 position out of 500 for all franchises participating. All companies, regardless of size, are judged by the same criteria: objective, quantifiable measures of the franchise system. Important factors include years in business, financial strength and stability, growth rate, and size of the system. Companies with the highest cumulative score become the Franchise 500. In addition, Entrepreneur Magazine also awarded Pop-A-Lock with the #1 position in the Service Category for 2014; the prestigious ranking which the company has garnered consecutively since 2010.

In 2014, Pop-A-Lock has grown to serve an additional 750 communities, totaling close to 8,500. Over 11 Million in population coverage was added to the already staggering number of people Pop-A-Lock currently provides automotive, commercial, and residential services to.

Don Marks, CEO of the Pop-A-Lock franchise system said, “We are very excited about our continuous, explosive growth toward prevalent coverage of North America combined with continuing international growth which will allow us to become the preferred security provider to major companies and organizations as well as individual families and small business.”

The most significant growth took place in Canada in the provinces of Toronto, Ottawa, and Ontario. Others areas developed include major US cities such as Green Bay, WI; Albuquerque, NM; El Paso, TX; Wilmington and Jacksonville, NC; and Santa Barbara and Ventura, California; in addition, developments were also present in Snohomish County, WA and Kerr County and Victoria County of Texas. Areas soon to open include the greater Boston area including the cities of North Plymouth and Bristol, in addition, Middlesex County. Moreover, other domestic locations to open soon include Seattle and Spokane, WA; Princeton, NJ; Ann Arbor, MI and the state of Rhode Island; furthermore, international franchises to open soon include Halifax, Nova Scotia.

In addition to offering automotive, commercial, and residential services to the expanded coverage areas, the PAL Save Kids Program will also be available to the people living in the areas mentioned. The program is a FREE community service to anyone who has inadvertently locked their child in their vehicle. Since the program has started, over 300,000 children have been rescued.

Pop-A-Lock is looking forward to the opportunities that 2015 will provide, and that includes bringing the nation’s most trusted group of locksmiths to an area near you.
