The World's Largest Casual Dining Mexican Restaurant Brand, and Official Restaurant of National Margarita Day, Will Offer the World's Most Popular Drink for $2 Saturday – Sunday February 21 - 22, 2015

February 09, 2015 // Franchising.com // DALLAS, Texas – On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina® is turning National Margarita Day, which honors the world's most popular cocktail, into a weekend-long affair.

On The Border, the official restaurant of National Margarita Day and home of border-style, sizzling Mesquite-grilled fajitas, will celebrate National Margarita Day by offering its 12 oz. House Margarita – Frozen or On The Rocks - for just $2 all day on Saturday, February 21 and Sunday, February 22, which is officially National Margarita Day.

In addition, OTB will also offer CoronaRitas™, a House Margarita infused with an ice cold Coronita®, specially priced for $5 on February 21 and 22. Beyond the special promotional 'Ritas, guests can always get many other delicious Margarita options, from basic to premium to super premium. And, as the home of the Original Meltdown, On The Border guests can personalize their Margarita with an added shot of their favorite liqueur or fine tequila.

"National Margarita Day is one of OTB's favorite days of the year so we decided to extend the day into a full weekend for our enthusiastic team members and valued guests," said Ward Whitworth, President of On The Border. "As the official restaurant of National Margarita Day, OTB is proud to offer our famous House Margaritas at a $2 special price. At the same time, we're adding to our line of margaritas with a delicious new twist on a swirl – the Mango Strawberry Swirl Margarita."

Just in time for National Margarita Day, the Mango Strawberry Swirl Margarita combines two of its best-selling fruit margarita flavors into one. The new cocktail is a frozen Mango Margarita – a fruit flavor that is exploding in popularity - swirled with strawberry puree, in a sugar-rimmed glass.

National Margarita Day also coincides with OTB's recently announced, limited time offer of its new Fiesta Trio, where guests can choose an appetizer, a main feature and a dessert, all for just $12.99. OTB guests can choose three courses for one great price including an appetizer (Chicken Tortilla Soup or House Salad), main feature (Mesquite-Grilled Chicken Fajitas, lunch size portion) and a dessert (Brownie Sundae for one or two Sopapillas).
