Jersey Mike's Subs Opens Fifth Colorado Springs Area Restaurant

Owner Celebrates With Free Sub Fundraiser

May 12, 2015 // Franchising.com // Colorado Springs, CO - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened its fifth location in Colorado Springs on May 6. Franchise owner Tim Holliday held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 6 to Sunday, May 10 to support the Wounded Warrior Project.

The new restaurant, located at 5855 Constitution Avenue, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project.

Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) serves veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families. On that date, America watched in horror as approximately 3,000 people died including hundreds of firefighters and rescue workers. Many warriors note a sense of duty to volunteer for the military following these tragic events.

“At Jersey Mikes we are taking every measure to ensure a quality product goes out the door,” said Holliday. On giving back to the Wounded Warrior Project Holliday commented, "I support WWP for all of my grand openings because I grew up as the son of an Army Combat Veteran. Supporting WWP is my way of serving my generation of vets.”
