Wienerschnitzel Announces Newest Activation in Partnership with Toyota

World’s Largest Hot Dog Chain Celebrates the Release of Toyota’s New RAV4 Rally Car

May 29, 2015 // Franchising.com // IRVINE, California – Wienerschnitzel, the world’s largest hot dog chain, has announced its newest activation in partnership with Toyota, around their recent unveiling of the RAV4 rally car, which will be driven by off-road race pro Ryan Millen in events throughout the U.S., including a portion of the 2015 Rally America season. The Wienerschnitzel logo and the company’s beloved hot dog mascot, “The Delicious One,” will be displayed on the ramped-up RAV4 rally car along with Millen’s race gear. Additionally, Wienerschnitzel will host social media contests with prizes including a one-year subscription to Racer Magazine and Sirius XM Satellite Radio, and two passes to the 2015 SEMA Car Show in Las Vegas as a guest of Toyota.

"Toyota is innovating the race industry and we are flattered they partnered with us to help reach a younger demographic for their RAV4 initiatives,” said Wienerschnitzel’s Chief Visionary Officer, J.R. Galardi. “We look forward to sharing content through our social media, PR and digital solutions while watching this relationship grow for years to come.”

The two companies first joined forces when Wienerschnitzel signed on as the official hot dog of professional Motocross team Joe Gibbs Racing Motocross (JGRMX) in October 2014, for which Toyota is a title sponsor, along with AutoTrader.com and Yamaha.

“It’s an honor to be part of the Wienerschnitzel family and I’m looking forward to taking this iconic brand along for some wild rides in this new rally car!” said race pro, Ryan Millen. “I love their chili dogs almost as much as I love having their mascot ‘The Delicious One’ featured on my vehicle. I mean, I have a screaming hot dog on my car…that’s awesome!”

Toyota will serve Wienerschnitzel’s famous hot dogs in their team pit at participating Rally America races across the west coast, in addition to various Toyota-sponsored events throughout the year.
