National Dental Equipment Repair Franchise Adapts Business Model to Better Serve Less-Concentrated Markets with Launch of Second Franchise Offering

October 20, 2015 // Franchising.com // DAVIE, Fla. – Dental Fix Rx, the fastest-growing, mobile dental equipment repair service franchise, is attracting a new kind of investor with the announcement of a secondary franchise model that is designed to meet the needs of dental practices located in less populated areas.

According to a study by the health policy group, Institute of Medicine, there are 33 million Americans that live in areas that are underserved by dental health professionals. The low-density of dental practices in communities across the United States, makes it essential that dental practices have access to the same depth of dental equipment repair services that can be completed quickly and economically.

With franchise territories that typically cover up to 350 dental offices, Dental Fix Rx has sold more than 200 franchises through the United States and Canada and is already servicing 15,000 dentists. Adding 1,000 new customers every quarter, the company expects to sell all of its U.S. territories within the next three years.

Under the secondary model, if a territory has 250 clinics or less, that franchisee will receive the same training and support provided to all new franchises but will not initially be required to purchase the Mobile Service Center van to open a Dental Fix Rx business. Once the franchisee averages three consecutive months of $10,000 in revenue, the company will then require the purchase of a Mobile Service Center van.

Dental Fix Rx is the only mobile dental equipment repair service franchise. All franchisees undergo an intensive eight-week training program and purchase a branded Dental Fix Rx van that allows them to respond quickly to client’s needs and complete repairs on-site. Additionally, franchisees are assigned an account manager at the corporate office who provides marketing, appointment-setting and invoicing support – allowing franchises owners to focus on servicing customers.

In addition, Dental Fix Rx is offering secondary franchisees the same guarantee that full-market franchisees are promised – refunding the franchise fee if new owners do not service 40 clients within the first year of his or her business.
