Tilted Kilt Brings its Celtic Style to Portland for Expansion

Nationwide Pub & Eatery to Introduce 4 New Pubs to Portland Metro Region

TEMPE, Ariz. - October 27, 2015 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Authentic pub fare and craft beer with a side of sexy servers is growing their presence throughout the Pacific Northwest. Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, a sports pub that pays homage to the old public houses of America, England, Scotland and Ireland, is pleased to announce the introduction of four new pubs in Oregon State, over the coming years. After growing the brand’s presence on the East Coast and in the Midwest, this is the first development push for Tilted Kilt in Oregon.

The new Tilted Kilt pubs will open under the leadership of Wes Harris, Area Developer and multi-unit franchisee. After visiting the first Tilted Kilt in Las Vegas, Harris was hooked on the brand. In the past year and a half, Harris has opened two successful pubs in Boise, Idaho and Tucson, Arizona. Building on the momentum of his recent openings, he is now tasked with introducing the growing entertainment restaurant to the Pacific Northwest.

“With an intimate knowledge of both the Tilted Kilt brand and the landscape of the entertainment restaurant industry, my development team is primed and poised to grow in the region,” said Harris. “With open territories from Vancouver, Washington to Beaverton, Oregon to Portland, I am eagerly seeking local community and business leaders to bring this growing entertainment restaurant to their community that is densely populated with our ideal customer base.”

Targeted development areas in Oregon, in which Harris is actively seeking franchise partners, include Washington County and Multnomah County. Harris notes that Portland and its surrounding communities are Tilted Kilt’s number one franchise development target for 2016. Already working toward the goal of four locations, Harris is actively searching for real estate throughout the region. The first pub should bust on to the scene in fall 2016.

“From the Timbers to the Trailblazers, the Portland metropolitan area houses some of the most impassioned sports fans in America, making it an ideal city to introduce the Tilted Kilt concept,” said Mark Hanby, vice president of franchise development. “I am confident in Wes’ ability to grow the Tilted Kilt brand, expanding our footprint throughout key communities in Portland and bordering cities. He is prepared to go full court press in Portland and beyond.”

With more than 100 locations open across the United States and Canada, the Tilted Kilt boasts sexy servers, classic Celtic décor, traditional pub fare and sports all under one roof. The architectural features at every location remind guests they are in a classy establishment. Dark mahogany wood fills the bar and the stained glass doors and wainscoting add to the charm. Combined with pool tables, dart boards and large plasma TVs, Tilted Kilt is the best place to watch sports and hang out with friends. Humorous and slightly bawdy limericks are even seen throughout the pub, creating an atmosphere that is fun and entertaining.
