In order to further equip family caregivers with the resources they need to provide the best care possible for loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s, Home Care Assistance is hosting a public webinar on Alzheimer’s care on Thursday, November 19th at 10 AM Pacific/ 1 PM Eastern. Led by Kae Hammond, Founder and President of the Dementia Help Center, author of Pathways: A Guidebook for Dementia & Alzheimer’s Family Caregivers and host of “The Kae Hammond Show: Care for The Family Caregiver”, the hour-long webinar will cover topics on understanding the disease, caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, and respite tips for the family caregivers who care for these individuals.
Home Care Assistance has also authored an award-winning book series on topics around aging, wellness and quality of life - Mind Over Gray Matter, the fifth book in the Healthy Longevity Book Series, is written to help friends and family members support a loved one with Alzheimer’s or dementia. The book offers a new approach to dementia care focused on practical guidance, as well as evidence-based techniques to provide family caregivers with the tools they need to help improve the quality of life for their loved ones while simultaneously slowing the progression of the disease.
